The story takes place just before the outbreak of the Greater Poland Uprising in 1918. As World War I draws to a close, a group of psychics committed to restoring Polish independence gather in a hotel room for a special séance. They want to use their power to save Jan Paderewski, the legendary pianist and symbolic leader of a successful patriotic rebellion.

Strong Man is considered to be one of the best Polish silent movies. Director Szaro (killed by the Nazis in the Warsaw Ghetto in 1942) was a specialist in making blockbusters.
Marcin Pukaluk has performed 150 live music shows so far and recorded 2 solo albums for silent films. With a strong musicological background he is able combine different kinds of musical inspirations (classic, ambient, folk and pop) to produce music that is diverse both in terms of style and structure.

The Photographer is an elusive serial killer operating in modern day Moscow. He leaves numbered tiles at the scenes of his crimes, similar to those placed at crime scenes by forensic teams. The investigation points to the old Red Army barracks in Legnica, and to events dating back to the 1970s.
