Discovery channel film tells the story about Edward M. House, a remarkable man who lived his life mostly in the shadows yet was one of the most influential figures of the President Woodrow Wilson’s presidency. He was a diplomat, a person that both Europe and Poland owe a lot, but nowadays almost completely forgotten. House had a significant role in shaping the Fourteen Points at the Paris Peace Conference after the First World War.
A small exhibition “Class of 1926” about the Polish Declarations of Admiration and Friendship for the United States preserved by the Library of Congress will accompany the screening.
Event organized with the support of the Discovery channel and cooperation with the University of Pittsburgh Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures.
